The Student Handbook
The five-volume Student Handbook series provides a quick, ready reference for homework and tests from grade school to college. The volumes cover more than sixty school subjects, from early math to advanced calculus, with either step-by-step explanations or a great set of notes.
 
A five hundred page section entitled "What Happened When" is a chronologically arranged encyclopedia of the most important events in American history, from A.D. 986 through 2004. A Desk Reference Encyclopedia presents its information in the form of timelines (chronological lists of events), brief essays, charts, tables, short biographies, and glossaries. This material is illustrated to provide maximum information in an easily accessible and visually attractive form.
 
Handbook 1
 
Divided into four major sections: Study Guide, Social Studies, Science and Math, Sports and Entertainment. Also contains a section on Science for Fun Experiments, Nature, Geography, and Mathematics projects.
 
Handbook 1 also includes the Britannica the Human Body DVD ROM which includes an electronic dictionary and thesaurus, an interactive atlas, and photos & videos to make the info come alive!
 
Handbook 2
 
Covers subjects such as U.S. Government, Peoples of America, World History, Countries of the World, an Atlas, Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Literature. Contains an alphabetized, illustrated guide to books, plays, and literary figures.
 
Handbook 2 also includes Britannica Planet Earth CD ROM.  This CD includes photos & videos to make the info come alive!

  
Handbook 3
 
Covers English Composition and foreign languages- French, German, Spanish, and Latin. Covers Social Sciences such as Economics, Political Science and Psychology, Mathematics, and physical sciences such as Biology, History, Geology and Physics. The chronologically -arranged reference "What Happened When" gives the most important events of American History from 986 AD, when Europeans first sited America, to modern times.
 
Handbook 3 includes the Berlitz Fundamentals Express CD ROM.  This includes everything a student needs to learn basic Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, & Japanese!  This is a great source to gain a working knowledge of these languages, bith orally and in written communication!
 
Handbook 4
 
Arranged in seven major topic areas and twenty-six subsections, the Desk Reference Encyclopedia presents its information in the form of timelines (chronological lists of events), brief essays, charts, tables, short biographies, and glossaries.
 
Handbook 4 has the TopicSource DVD ROM included. The Topic Source provides the primary research material for 95 awesome report topics!
 
Handbook 5
 
Contains comprehensive information on high school subjects often covered by AP tests: the AP English language, literature and essays; Biology; Calculus AB; US Government and Politics; and US History. Also includes a CD with practice tests on the most commonly taken AP subjects.
