Southwestern Company Mentorship Program

Southwestern Company Mentor at WorkThe Southwestern Company Mentorship Program is a communication forum between your high school student and the college student from whom you purchased educational materials. Rather than trying to take on and prepare for the next 4 years on their own, participants in The Southwestern Company Mentorship Program will have a partner who is already in college (or who has recently graduated) to help guide them along the way.

For students under 18, parents should signal approval for their child’s participation by initialing the appropriate blank on the Southwestern order blank, or by sending an email authorization to mentorship@southwestern.com.

How the mentorship will work, and what you can expect:

1)     Student will receive videos over email that will expose them to success principles.
2)     The mentor will call the student by Jan 1st for a follow up call
3)     On the first phone call, the student will choose if they would like to just receive the videos or
build a professional bi-weekly college mentoring relationship

The Mentor/ Mentee relationship will focus on, but is not limited to, a few main areas:

1)      Getting the most use out of their educational Southwestern products
2)      Advice on college choices.
3)      Direction on doing really well in school.
4)      Guidance on applying for scholarships for college.
5)      Being a positive role model and influence on others through their life.
